Archer Lake is a 100 acre spring fed lake located just off the main road through the club. Access points include a boat launch and a low ground dirt area suitable for launching a small john boat. Fishing on the lake is permitted for an additional $200.00 fee. Only regular club members are granted permission to upgrade their membership's to include the fishing.

There is some great fishing at Archer Lake for Bass, Crappie, and brim. Many members have even spotted eight plus foot gator, so see if you can get in on the Georgia lottery for one of those tags and bag a big one.

The area our club occupies was once known to the locals as "The Roost", for all the ducks that used to roost in the area. As with many things, time has deteriorated the numbers of duck and geese that frequent our club grounds. Archer Lake isn't the only place to look for ducks on our grounds though. There are many other areas that the ducks still frequent. The main migration includes species of Wood Ducks, Ring necks, Gadwall, and a mixture of Mallards. some local geese also call WCHC grounds home during the migratory season. Duck hunting is open to all members of Washington County Hunt Club.
